Friends of Hayner Library
The Friends of Hayner Library is a volunteer group who raise funds for The Hayner Public Library District through biannual book sales held in May and October. The Friends meet weekly to sort donated books and other materials and prepare the materials for the sales.
The Friends of Hayner Library also maintains book sale carts at the Downtown and Alton Square Libraries. The books on these carts are a great value; nothing is priced over $2.00! Gift certificates are available for Friends of the Library book sale carts; gift certificates can be purchased at the circulation desks of the Downtown and Alton Square Libraries. All proceeds from the biannual book sales and book sale carts go directly into the library's collection development fund where they are used to purchase new materials for the library collection.
The Friends of Hayner Library meets Monday mornings in the Friends' building generally between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. (please call ahead to confirm times).
